A brow lift is a surgical procedure that rejuvenates the area above the eyes and restores a more youthful appearance on the face.
Also known as a forehead lift, the brow lift procedure lifts the eyebrows to smooth out frown lines, removes excess sagging and alters the underlying muscles and tissues to eliminate deep furrows and sagging brow. This ultimately creates a more youthful appearance of the face.

During your consultation for a brow lift San Diego plastic surgeon Dr. Malone will evaluate your forehead, brows and eyelids and discuss your individualized concerns.
She will discuss with you all of the non-surgical and surgical options available to refresh your upper face and brow. Your customized treatment will improve the furrowing of your forehead and the sagging of your brows. The brow lift will be based upon your individual facial anatomy and personal preferences in order to address these problem areas:

An endoscopic brow lift is designed to refresh the forehead, temple areas, brows, and upper eyelids. It addresses the heaviness and sagging of the brows and the deeply furrowed lines between the eyebrows. This treatment can be customized to deal with temporal hollowing or inward concavity of the temples that can develop with age. The procedure is performed in a minimally invasive way using very small incisions inside the hair bearing scalp and specialized telescopes to perform the procedure with minimal bruising and swelling. An endoscopic brow lift can be done with no general anesthesia.
A lateral temporal lift is utilized for patients who just want a subtle lift of their outside eyebrow. The procedure is performed minimally invasive using very small incisions inside the hair bearing scalp and specialized telescopes to perform the procedure with minimal bruising and swelling. It can be done with no general anesthesia.
There are several excellent options to refresh your forehead, brows and eyes without undergoing any surgery. Dr. Malone’s practice has different treatments to provide a “chemical brow lift” or “liquid brow lift” and provide you with a well-rested, rejuvenated look that has no downtime from the surgery.
Endoscopic brow lifting uses small incisions within the scalp, thereby concealing visible scars.

“I would recommend her a million times over…”
An intravenous sedation is applied to begin the brow lift procedure. A small incision hidden in the hair-bearing scalp can be made using an endoscope, a small minimally invasive instrument with a camera on the end, and special instruments that let the surgeon adjust the tissue and muscle beneath the skin. The incision is closed with absorbable sutures or skin adhesives.
Our upper face is one of the first areas to show signs of aging. We lose the wide- eyed appearance due to changes in the forehead, brow, and upper and lower eyelids. The brow can sag and hang on our eyes causing the upper eyelid to become heavy, with crepe-like thinning and sagging of our upper eyelid skin. After years of permanent grimaces or “angry” appearances, the “11” lines become deeply furrowed between our eyebrows. Additionally, the outside part of our eyebrows tends to sag more causing a downward slant to our eyes which creates the appearance of being tired. Our La Jolla brow lift patients say that friends and family notice they look tired even in the morning after a night’s rest. Aging has an impact in the forehead, brow and eyes making you look tired, irritable and older than your actual age.
The philosophy of our practice is to restore the twinkle that has been in your eyes when you were young. In La Jolla, Dr. Malone uses minimally invasive surgical techniques to give your brows a new look and to banish dark circles and bags under your eyes. Utilizing minimally invasive incisions hidden inside the hair, Dr. Malone uses telescopes to provide natural rejuvenation and restoration to your brow, upper face and eyelids.
